About Kickin' Rocks
Hey y'all! My name is Stacey Lee. I began Kickin’ Rocks back in 2009 by making pendants as a hobby while I was teaching. I’d take them to school to show my teacher friends, and before long, they were buying them faster than I could make them!
In the spring of 2010, I set up my very first booth at the Chappell Hill Bluebonnet Festival — and I’ve been doing markets ever since. For years, I balanced teaching junior high technology classes during the week, creating jewelry at night, and selling at markets on the weekends.
As a teacher, I was blessed to have my daughter, Alana, in my Technology class, so I knew I wanted to stay long enough to have my son in my class as well. Once that happened, I knew my heart was ready for a new season. So, in 2019, with the support of my husband and kids, I decided to step away from teaching to focus on my jewelry full-time.
The timing was scary... It was right before COVID hit and many markets shut down soon after. But we pushed through, finding new ways to share my pieces including ag prospect shows, jackpot shows, and through wholesaling.
Since then, Kickin’ Rocks has grown in ways I never imagined. We’ve checked off some big bucket-list goals:
- FFA Convention
- Round Top / Warrenton Market
- Coming up: National Finals Rodeo in Vegas!
- And now… launching our very own website!
My heart behind Kickin’ Rocks is simple. Keep prices affordable so you can treat yourself or gift someone else, and offer customized pieces so every customer takes home something they truly love — not something they just settled for.
Every item is made with care, creativity, and a whole lot of glory to God and gratitude for the people who’ve supported this little dream from the start.
